Master’s degree candidates who will complete their coursework and degree requirements by August 2018 are invited to participate in Commencement in May 2018.
It is the student’s responsibility to know and fulfill all degree requirements graduation. Participation in Convocation and Commencement ceremonies does not indicate that degree requirements have been completed.
Graduating students notify the University that they intend to graduate through the File Diploma Request process on MySlice. This process must be completed to ensure inclusion in the degree certification review process and for receipt of commencement information and, once the degree is awarded, the diploma.
In order to receive timely May 2018 Commencement information from the Office of Special Events, you must complete the File Diploma Request process by:
December 2017 expected graduates, file your diploma request by November 1, 2017.
May 2018, June 2018, and August 2018 expected graduates, file your diploma request by February 10, 2018.
Doctoral degree recipients who earn their degrees in June 2017, August 2017, and December 2017 are eligible to participate in the Doctoral Hooding Ceremony and Commencement. Doctoral candidates who expect to earn their degrees in May 2018 MUST complete all their degree requirements (including submission of final dissertation and signed title page) by April 23, 2018.
