Syracuse University recognizes that supporting graduate student success requires a holistic approach. Ensuring that your child or children can be cared for while you’re focused in the classroom, lab, or involved in practicum is another level of comfort and support.
Program Coverage
If you are earning less than $65,000 per year and your child or children are under the age of 6, the child care subsidy is $1,000 per child with a maximum subsidy per family of $2,000.
The child care subsidy program is managed by the Graduate School. As an annual subsidy, coverage is provided for the academic year.
Apply
The Graduate School distributes applications to all graduate students at the beginning of the fall semester. A copy of your latest tax return must accompany your application as verification of your child’s dependent status. Full-time graduate students may apply for the subsidy only once a year.
